The Collection of Ceramics, Glass and Porcelain follows the history of ceramic and glass production of Europe and the Orient from the first centuries A.D. to the 20th<\/sup> century. By providing an insight into the diversity of materials and decorative techniques, the Collection points to the history of the design of objects used in our region. In addition to archaeological glass from the beginning of the era, the Collection also preserves the objects from important European glass workshops, while the significant part of them follows the development of national glass production. The Collection also keeps the items from local ceramic workshops, and its important segment provides an insight into the diversity of European and Oriental ceramics: Italian majolica, European faience and stoneware, as well as items from Turkish and Persian workshops. The major part of the Collection follows the development of the European porcelain production through the items that point to the complexity of cultural lifestyle in our region. A special segment consists of the objects from new-age, Chinese and Japanese porcelain workshops.<\/p>\n
