Inspired by the novel ZOO or Letters Not about Love, the formalistic, travelling performance Shklovsky is placed in the area of the former slaughterhouse of the Belgrade meat industry “Slavija”, in which audience gets the role of “emigration”, and the female choir the role of the Russian language. The principles of the formal method by Viktor Borisovich Shklovsky (Виктор Борисович Шкловский) are materialised and become visible as Cymatics installations make visible the sound waves of different frequencies.

07 Biography (not exceeding 100 words):
Branislava Stefanović, a director (theatre, video, sound), is a full-time Professor and Chair of the Arts Council of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, University of Arts in Belgrade. She has founded and manages the Sound Experience Laboratory of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts – Room 64. She authored and directed numerous theatre plays, interdisciplinary actions, performances, radio-dramas, sound art installations, as well as five TV series and TV film My Voice. She cooperated with most of the professional theatres in Serbia, and with the troupe Kugla glumište (The Sphere Theatre, translator’s note) from Zagreb. She participated in the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, Bitef, October Salon, Mixer and Resonate festivals, Review of Composers and in the HUB12 Gallery.
