On the occasion of the 45th Children’s October Salon under the motto MY ART PROJECT FOR THE FUTURE in the period from 1st October 2010 till 23rd October 2010 the Museum of Applied Art through its Education Department organises educative workshops

GAME – ANIMATION – CREATION

CREATION

This practical workshop will use traditional visual techniques in devising creative messages for the future which the children will execute in clay, plasticine, paints, and collages. This workshop will take us back to the past to see HOW? WHY? WHERE? our forefathers were leaving their messages for the future and in which way these remained preserved until the present days. The workshop is designed for preschool age children.

ANIMATION

This workshop covers animated film and its aim is to inform pupils of primary school lower grades about making animated films. Our guests from Animart School will help us in this. Within workshop activities we shall have the opportunity to meet authors of animated film students of Animart School who are also participants of the Children’s October Salon this year.

GAME

Basic concept of this part of the workshop is to introduce to children aged 12 to 16 the methods in creating games and to explain to them that games can also be educational and not purely entertainment means, that they can be used in other activities and find their place in museums. By playing video games children can learn about objects in museum collections and expand their knowledge. Guests to this workshop are students and their professors – mentors from the Department for Computer and Information Science of the Faculty of Mathematics at the University in Belgrade.
