Book-Art object 4 is an international event, quadrennial, fourth in a series organized by an independent art association from Belgrade, the “Punctum for Art Experiment”. This year’s exhibition will be held from 10^th to 27^th of October, 2020 in the Museum of Applied Art (Žad Gallery) in Belgrade.

The “Punctum for Art Experiment” invited three artists from Poland and three from Serbia to be the curators of this exhibition and to select and propose artists from their countries. Grażyna Brylewska (Pl), Sławomira Chorążyczewska (Pl), Krystyna Szczepaniak (Pl), Gordana Kaljalovic Odanovic (Sr), Snežana Skoko (Sr) and Olivera Batajić Sretenović (Sr) selected 53 artists to participate in this exhibition. The accompanying exhibition will feature works by the artist-curators.

The aim of this manifestation is to make a group exhibition that would show the creation in the field of the Art-book in countries such as Poland and Serbia, where Poland already has a long tradition in this specific art discipline, while the group exhibitions of Art Book works are not so often organized in Serbia. The exhibitions, Book-Art Object 1/2/3/4, and their accompanying exhibitions of guest artists have the goal to present this specific art media to the new generation of artists.

The name of this year’s event is “Do we know each other?” which was an invitation for artists from Poland to make works on the topic “Serbia” as well as an invitation for domestic authors to make works on the topic “Poland”.
