Photographs 1950-2009, a retrospective of works of Rade Milisavljević is organised within the framework of the Salon of the Museum of Applied Art in Belgrade. In the past six decades of photographing Milisavljević produced a comprehensive body of several odd thousands of photographs. In the introduction to the exhibition catalogue Sreto Bošnjak writes that the «white-black versions of photographs made by Milisavljević unveil both the dynamic, contrasting as well as their spatial harmony and series of variations in use of the light. The light on his photographs is a more active agent that the dark: details within the light areas serve to discover the basic character of the composition. In this way Milisavljević successfuly «de-localises» the photographic scene, and introduces it within the realm of symbols always with a hint of the abstract»
