The significance of the exhibition setting lies in the diversity of exhibits in every sense of the word: in textile field, various materials (leather, cotton, wool, silk, recycled materials, wood, metal…) and techniques (traditional and modern). The exhibition presents the following: weft-faced woven tow tapestries, tapestries bearing computerized ethno patterns, coats and dresses of geometric shapes, jewellery made out of recycled pieces, gloves, screens, shoes, bags, as well as video works and spatial installations.
In the exhibition catalogue, Maja Škaljac has pointed out that from year to year the exhibition has been shifting the boundaries of this branch of applied art and sending a message that our artists, based on their innovative ideas, successful realizations and masterful performance, stand high on the ladder of contemporary art scene, along with the most respectable world authors in this field.
The heterogeneity of the exhibits displayed, a large number of interested exhibitors of different authorial manuscripts, sensibilities and generations, an audience that eagerly awaits the latest achievements in the field of unique fashion, decorative and experimental textiles are strong enough arguments for this exhibition to continue living into the future.
