Kolarac Endowment (in January, 2021), and afterwards in the Grand Gallery of Šok Zadruga (in July, 2021), the Museum of Applied Art is organising the promotion of the artist’s book created from this very material – author’s photographs and notes.
In order to place the artist’s book in the context of the museum institution, the travel photographs from the Vladarski family’s private albums, belonging to the MAA’s collection, will also be presented at the promotion.

The project Wanderlust is one of a series of Mirjana Boba Stojadinović’s artistic researches dedicated to the subjective experience of travels. The artist’s book Wanderlust is the result of the author’s contemplation on the phenomenon of travelling from her personal point of view. The format of the artist’s book naturally encompasses 132 black-and-white photographs selected from the volume of several tens of thousands of the artist’s photographs taken in the period between 2003 and 2019, accompanied by 40 textual notes – stories and profound self-reflective narratives.
The artwork dedicated to exile is not accidentally created during the severe pandemic we are all hit by – not as escapism from the seriousness of the situation, but as a refuge for the potential of humanity that we carry within us.
