“Beauty to Go” is the topic of the latest, tenth international creative workshop “Dizajn igralište – Design Playground” by the “Drvo Art” (meaning Wood Art) Technical School. This extraordinary title hides the products used for storing cosmetics, for beauty care and make-up. These can be dressing tables, night cabinets, as well as numerous other “combined” pieces of furniture designed by creative pupils and their teachers, such as a dressing table – rucksack or suitcase. Along with the host school, the workshop will be attended by secondary school pupils from partner schools from Austria, Italy, Hungary and Bulgaria.

The workshop will be held at the School premises in the period from 5^th to 9^th March, 2018, and the selected works will be exhibited in the Museum in the following week. During the workshop, pupils will make prototypes under the supervision of their tutors. This time, they will have an opportunity to try themselves in combining traditional and new materials, i.e. wood and RAUVISIO Crystal Mirror material donated to the School by REHAU Company.

Considering that the workshop “Design Playground” by the “Drvo Art” Technical School has been successfully held for the whole decade, this time homage will be paid to all the works created during the previous exhibitions, that is, we will be able to see all of them.

All previous workshops have been successfully realised, and the works created during them have been exhibited at numerous significant events in the field of design, not only in our country, but also at prestigious world events, such as the International Furniture Fair in Milan, Industrial Design Fair in Madrid, International Furniture Fair in Singapore, INTERZUM Fair in Cologne and International Furniture Fair in Stockholm.
