Workshops are planed for the students of the University of Arts, Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade, Department of Textile Design and the College of Textile, Technology and Management – DTM in Belgrade, Department of Design Textile and Apparel.

Presentation of three years of work on the project with migrants “The border is closed” realized in cooperation with Group 484 in asylum centers in Serbia. The workshop theme is “ THE WAY I SEE A WORLD MAP” and it is based on the long term artistic experience of working with textiles in different fields.

The workshop author is Rae Gold.

Presentation of artist’s artworks by wet felting technique, inspired by useful objects made of glass. The three-day workshop with the theme “Traditional techniques as an art form from domestic fleece”.

Rae’s art pieces will be exhibited at the museum from January16 till 24.

“I have always been attracted to the beauty of glass. So I decided to use some of the shapes of my favorite glass designers, Lino Tagliapietra, and Dante Marioni as well as others whose work I saw at our Glass Center in Pittsburgh. I used their shapes and created elements in felt. that I could use as though they were what these glass blowers would use to decorate their work and add them to my work. I loved the elegance of their shapes. I hoped to capture their beauty in my forms. I believe in creating as much beauty in my work as I can. I think the world needs this.”
