Dositej Obradović

Dositej Obradović (1739?-1811) was great educator, the first Serbian minister of education who devoted his entire and rich creative life to learning and bringing knowledge closer to the Serbian youth. He was a pioneer in modern Serbian culture, creator of modern understanding of the world placing in its core accessibility to learning and knowledge for all children, boys and girls equally.

Dositej dedicated his fables to the Serbian youth. Works of Dositej have been continuously published and adapted for the youngest generations.
