The 46th Children’s October Salon will be held from 6th to 27th October 2011 at the Museum of Applied Art. Children’s Salon is a traditional exhibition held in October every year and is one of the greatest visual creativity manifestations of children in our country.

This year the Children’s Salon will be dedicated to life, work and achievements of Dositej Obradović as was proposed by the “Dositej Obradović” Endowment. The year 2011 is observed as the Year of Knowledge and it also marks 200 years since great Dositej had been appointed minister of education and 200 years since his death. There will be 277 works rendered by children representing the epoch Dositej lived in, his journeys, enlightenment activities, portraits and most of all the fables he edited. Works executed in various techniques have been done by children aged 5 to 15.
